Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager for a 7 month, W2 contract role in Boston. This position requires experience with pharmaceuticals, with a preference for oncology (solid tumors).

Pay Range - $115 to $135

Role Summary

The Senior Marketing Manager will support the development of marketing strategy and lead implementation of key tactics to support the US business.

The brand marketer will be supporting our targeted IDH solid tumor franchise (VORANIGO and TIBSOVO) with the potential to work on exciting new indication expansions in the future. This role reports to the Director of Solid Tumor Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Planning

  • Support development of the U.S. strategic marketing plan for solid tumor brands and lead distinct workstreams to achieve business objectives and brand goals.
  • Translate insights into recommendations to support annual brand plan, including goals, priorities, KPIs, and resource allocation.
  • Apply market research, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to guide strategy and decision making.
  • Leverage best practices from across the global organization and the broader industry.

Marketing Execution & Content Development - Digital, Omnichannel, and Congress Focus

  • Lead development of digital and omnichannel projects, including website content, banners, email campaigns, paid media, and other digital engagement tools.
  • Effectively manage components of HCP media plan, including partner selection, management, and optimization in alignment with brand goals
  • Partner with multiple external agency partners to ensure creative excellence, consistency, and timely execution across platforms, aligning content to channels and targets/specialties
  • Stay current on healthcare industry digital trends, emerging technologies, competitor activities, and market dynamics to drive differentiation
  • Drive innovation by piloting new channels, technologies, and personalization strategies to enhance customer engagement
  • Define, track, and optimize KPIs across digital and media channels, leveraging dashboards and analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness and generate actionable insights
  • Ensure all content complies with legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  • Evaluate marketing program effectiveness and recommend optimizations. Represent the solid tumor marketing team in key congress activities and governance meetings; responsibilities include booth content, literature, presentations, learnings, sales force training, and measurement/optimization

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Training, TLLs, Medical Affairs, Market Access, HEOR, Regulatory, and Corporate Communications to ensure aligned messaging and coordinated execution.
  • Partner with market research, customer insights, analytics, and 3rd parties to understand product performance and insights and optimize tactics.
  • Collaborate with IT, analytics, and portfolio digital marketing to execute on tactics, including but not limited to sales force leads, email campaigns, website deployment, and KPI tracking. and media plan analytics
  • Partner with Legal, Regulatory, and Medical colleagues through the Promotional Review Committee to ensure timely and compliant material submissions

Leadership & Influence

  • Lead cross-functional projects and influence without authority in a matrixed organization.
  • Present project outputs and impact effectively to leadership in context of overall brand performance and forward-looking priorities

Education and Required Skills

  • Bachelor of Science or Arts (or equivalent work experience), MBA preferred, with 5+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or other specialty healthcare industry, including 2+ years in marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to support development of marketing strategies and lead execution of key tactics to drive adoption and growth of inline products in US specialty or biotech market; experience with solid tumors, oncology, or rare disease products strongly preferred
  • Proven success in leading digital campaigns for product launches or major brand initiatives, overseeing strategy and content development Experience with various components of marketing mix (ie, promotional approaches) and with prioritizing resources to most effective areas to drive results
  • Strong project management skills with ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities, external agencies and vendors, and promotional budgets
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotion, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues
  • Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to implement sales or marketing programs with measurable business impact in a heavily matrixed, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to clearly communicate at all levels of the organization as well as with external audiences
  • Experience with commercial pharma software including Veeva CRM, Vault PromoMats a plus

Travel and Location

  • Boston, MA-based with up to 25% travel required
